Happy Thanksgiving!

Yes, Rozo did in fact draw her turkey herself... After outlining her paw, I held the pens while she chewed on them. She even picked out the colors herself. What a dog!

Home Sick, AGAIN

I am sick of being sick! Yesterday all my teachers kept asking me why I even came to school, but grades are partially based on attendance and Parker's already made me miss too much! I feel like I have to go whenever I can. Live and learn I guess; I'm paying for it today... At least I got to drive through the first snow! It didn't make it to Brooklyn as more than rain, but since I was driving north I got it!

Lance's family sent an awesome baby welcome package that we got yesterday. THANK YOU! I'll put a picture up soon with Lance and I modelling our new parent/maternity clothes and displaying the GORGEOUS art and the world's softest baby blanket.

Really looking forward to getting out of town and seeing the family for thanksgiving. Hope to God this cold leaves soon.

Scheduled my first trimester screening for Dec 4. Can't wait to see what Parker's up to!

Lance is the best

Lance brought home some of the most beautiful flowers yesterday.

These pink ones smell AMAZING, and then there are some great blue ones and white ones in other rooms. He's really doing an amazing job of this whole flowers-every-week-of-07 christmas present. I just realized the year is almost up! I guess I'm gonna have to do it for him in 08, now that I've gotten used to fresh flowers in the house all the time! I really am the luckiest girl in the world.

Grumpy Dwarf

Also Mopey, Sneezy and Dopey. Had a horrific, writhing night of headaches, nausea, and coughing. Made Lance go on a banana run at 2am and a donut run at 6am. Poor guy. Just got up and made a smoothie to have with dried apricots- hopefully I'll keep all that down. Gonna try to get some homework done before I fall back asleep, or the headache makes it so I can't read anymore. Aaaahhh, the joys of pregnancy (or being Preggers, as Lance likes to say).

Registered...

Got my class schedule in for spring. 4 classes with a big break in the middle of the day. I wanted to do 5, but A) I would need "overload" approval from my advisor and B) Lance pointed out that that would be CRAZY to do while pregnant... Damn it. Doesn't this baby know I'm wonder woman?!

Speaking of, I'm coming down with a cold and I'm doubtful as to whether I'm even going to class tomorrow feeling this crapy. I guess we'll just see what a good night's sleep can do...

Not much new to report...

Acid reflux in full effect- yahoo! Apparently this will last for the rest of the pregnancy. AWESOME. Still sleepy all the time- managed to sleep through my alarm and miss all of my morning appointments. Broadway strike still on, so I don't think we'll be going to the theatre with Tim tomorrow night after all. That's a bummer. Registering for spring classes tomorrow morning, assuming I don't sleep through it... Taught a good circus class with the middle school-ers today. I really love them. Otherwise, it's time for bed!

*Family Time

Had nice chats with Mom, Dad, Winnie, Barbara, and Grandma this weekend, as well as a family dinner with Pinkney and Laura (my NYC surrogate parents). SO GOOD! I'm glad that this whole pregnancy thing is making us all so happy and drawing us all together even further- such an exciting perk!

Got a little caught up on homework today, but must pack it in immediately with an exhaustion headache (even though the damn pregnancy exhaustion had me sleep in until 3:30 in the afternoon today, baring some minor mid-sleep snacking). Lance and Rozo are already asleep and cute as buttons. Here's a picture of them from my computer's crappy little snapshot function:

You can kind of see the dog sprawled on the loveseat in the background with her legs wide open; what a dork... Oh, and in case you're wondering, no- the bed isn't usually in the middle of the living room, smashed up against the couch. We just haven't have the time or manpower to move the old bed out of the bedroom yet, but this one is so comfortable we started sleeping on it in the living room in the mean time. All details I'm sure the world needed to hear.

Well, off to join them in sleepy time. But first, maybe some Doritos...

ps. I got excited about the snapshot function, so here's what it looks like to be pregnant with an exhaustion/tension headache:

Genius Test Results

Well, somewhat genius. I got my American History midterm back today. I got a 99 and the teacher told me I tied for the highest grade in a class of 100! Of course my ego is outraged that he took of a point on one of my answers, but egos can deal. There was a crushing blow to my ego today, in the form of my drama midterm... the first answer on the test went something like this: Sophocles was an ancient greek philosopher whose contribution to western society was unfortunately lost to preganacy brain... Genius I tell you! The test just went downhill from there. There's always next time.

Baby's First Book!

This kid is going to be literate as hell. Grandpa Tarbox sent Parker's first book (thanks Dad!) and it's happily waiting for him/her to pop out in June! Just wait until Parker can catch up with all the Harry Potter stuff!

Got A's on all the exams I've done so far. YAY! Let's hear it for paying attention in class, because this baby has turned my studying brain to mush.

Off to teach (or puke, whichever comes first).
