*Parker ELIZABETH Tarbox Windish

Yes folks, that's right. It's a GIRL! And a cute one, at that...
Lance and I got to go see a detailed ultrasound today and it was great. The baby is in good shape, estimated at about 14 oz, which is apparently a good size for a baby at 20 weeks. All her anatomy is there; now it just needs to get bigger!

Loot!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WINSTON!

Just got back from my friend Cara's house where she, her husband Warren and their ADORABLE 5-mo old son Avery sent Parker and me home with a TON of baby clothes, blankets, and recent-new-mom advice. So good to have such a strong community. THANK YOU!

I am now officially halfway through this pregnancy (20 weeks). I'm really enjoying having a round tummy.

Getting very excited about the anatomy ultrasound on tuesday- Lance will get to see the baby live, which he hasn't done in a while, and we'll find out if it's a girl or a boy. Any bets?

Survived

So I made it through the first day of my new semester. I met 3 of my 4 teachers (the other will come on monday) and I like them all. It's cool- my last teacher of the evening is due 3 days before me! We're going to be round together!

Did a good job making sure I ate all day (especially thanks to Lance packing sandwiches in the morning) and taking a good long nap in the library in the middle of the day.

Still can't tell if I'm feeling Parker kick me or just my own muscle spasms. Apprently I'll be able to tell without a doubt very shortly. Hopefully it won't actually hurt...

Hallelujah!

I turned in my last paper, a whopping 2 hrs before the offical start date of spring semester.

The kids survived their circus show- performed with flying colors, actually. And literaly. Only one more circus performance and 3 drama ones to go!

AAAAAAANNNNNNNNDDDDDDD I remembered to eat enough that I didn't collapse. Will wonders never cease?

Light a candle for my first day back at school,

xoxo

Wed

I can't believe I start school again tomorrow. Starting to have panic attacks. Must remember that, although I still can't stay awake all day, I have geniously scheduled a LONG nap time in the middle of my schedule. I really hope it works!

Circus students have a show today. Must remember to eat enough before hand so that I don't collapse. Whis baby sure sucks a lot of protein out of me! OBVIOUSLY Parker's worth it- now I just have an excuse to eat more! (good for me food, of course)

Just got even more wedding pics from my friend Ben Heller. It is SO COOL to look at these guys and remember what a beautiful day it was and what beautiful, artistic, photogenic friends and family I have! Links to wedding shots are on the bottom left of the main page.

*finally some pictures

I found the cord that connects the camera to the computer! yahoo! so now we get down to picture business...

TUMMY TIME!

Here's what's starting to pop up in broklyn these days...

Please disregard the still wet from the shower, fantastically stringy hair-do. I promise pregnancy hasn't ruined ALL of my style (although some of the outfits I've been rockin' recently may try to prove otherwise...

and here are a couple of shots from xmas that i've been meaning to put up:

Some of the Windishes warming up at our "fire"

Mom playing & singing christmas carols

Lance & Rozo singing carols

Dad & Marlene carolling

19 weeks

Got to listen to the baby's heartbeat this week. The dr. says it's good and strong. I apparently should be feeling some movement any day now, but mostly I'm feeling my insides stretching and my back aching.

Our hot water has been leaving much to be desired, so lance did a heroic job soothing my sciatic nerve by delivering pan after pan of hot water from the stove. Thank god.

School starts next Thursday. MUST finish that last paper! Problems with completion, anyone?

Still exhausted all the time. The house shows it. But Lance brought me some hyacinths, so at least staying in bed smells delicious.

Speaking of delicious, I think I need some tomato soup. I tell you, it used to be an occasional meal, but at this rate, Parker is going to come out red, round, and on a vine. Actually, I guess all babies start out that way...

18 weeks

Good lord. How is it already 18 weeks? In two more weeks, I'll be half way there!

Keep feeling up and down about my tummy. Some times I think it's just fine, but other times I want it to be BIGGER! I want everyone to see I'm having a baby, damn it! My friend Emily said that it feels a little wierd (she may have said uncomfortable) once your tummy can rest on your lap, so I guess I should be grateful for the size I am now. Fine!

Keep having dreams about life with Parker, but it keeps changing between a boy or a girl, dream to dream. I have an anatomy scan at the end of the month, so I guess I just have to wait it out until then with mix and match dreams.

Speaking of dreams, Lance is out procuring the dinner my subconscious picked out. I sure hope cupcakes are nutritious, because that's all I want.

Just checking in...

Had a nice time on Tuesday night getting some good love from some of my girlfriends. Wish that I didn't get tired and headache-y so easily at night, but maybe that's God's way of helping me save money (as opposed to frequent dinners out...)

Also enjoyed a nice breakfast with my friend Don yesterday, whom I have not seen in forever and came bearing gifts! Now not only do we have all the AWESOME infant stuff that Emmerson finished with over at Jen and Nate's, but Don's fiancée Stacie scored a swank stroller and big-kid car seat from a work connection. We may be able to afford to have this kid after all!

Lance's surprise Daddy present arrived today and it is perfect. I can talk about it here because, no matter how many times I ask him to, he does not come to this blog to add entries of his own. Some day I'll let that go, but in the mean time, I'll settle for passive aggression.

I think I have to have Lance take a picture of me, because my tummy is really starting to stick out. I LOVE IT.

Made the Dean's List!

Yahoo!!!

I just need to finish one more paper (as soon as I finish the drama kids' script, which is due this Fri...), but that will happen soon! I swear!

Jury duty starts next week. Please light a candle and pray for a quick release...

Had nice time reading pregnancy books and listening as Lance read them aloud over the last couple of days. Enjoyed some excellent hippy art time drawing my ideal birth. I'll put that up soon to share the true extent of both my hippiness and artistic abillity.

Had to miss out on some New Year's day fun with some friends last night, as Parker needed some attention in the abdominal area. Guess I need to start getting used to that...
