Can anyone believe that this Saturday, the 13th, Parker will be...


What a year! 6 teeth, rolling over, sitting up, crawling, now pulling up to a stand and practicing walking?! And saying "hi" whenever she sees or hears someone (especially other kids)... I can NOT believe it has gone by this fast.

PLus tomorrow is our 3 year wedding anniversary- who can believe that either? AND it's almost Lance's second father's day!

Happy Mothers' Day!

It's so exciting to have my first Mothers' Day! It was the best. I had just the right amount of quality hang-out time with Parker/Lance, naps, delicious food, and gardening. Such a dream! Now to finish my homework for the last day of school (Tues)... Wish me luck!

Happy Valentine's Day!

a little bit late, but with good cause. Lance was really sick (we're talking ER sick). He's much better now and is recuperating at home, but it scared the hell out of me and we've been in chaos over here since friday morning. Longer than that, actually, if you consider that we hit the ground running after xmas and are still regrouping after the end-of-the-semester circus shows and drama shows. Which were fantastic, I might add. Exhausting, but fantastic. We still have an apartment full of glitter and mummies, but our brains are somewhat our own again.

School started and I'm already way behind. I actually had to miss the first 2 out of 3 classes with the dress rehearsal and performance of the middle school version of William Shakespeare;s Haunted House (www.manhattahyouthplayers.info.)

Now I'm behind even more with the whole Lance thing from friday. And our car got towed because the marshal had out-of-date info, but I'm gonna get to campus tomorrow somehow, and hopefully get the car back wed. Something. Oy yoy yoy. At least this week there is a vacation from teaching. Maybe we can empty out the apartment when we get the car back. Or not. The important thing is, Peekie is cute. Case in point:

OK. Off to bed. I have to catch a 7:10 train at grand central to get to my first class, which means I should have been asleep hours ago. I'm just worked up over going to move the car for the morning and finding it gone. Again. I hate NY sometimes. I want a garage.

And health insurance.

And a nap.
